Forms
Your shop's own forms - new customer, repair authorization, drop-off and more, with any questions and a signature - on paper, by text or on the counter kiosk.
Forms are your shop's own paperwork for customers - a new customer form, a repair authorization, a vehicle drop-off form, a pickup authorization, a feedback survey, or anything else you need. Every shop starts with a New Customer Form, and Administrator Managers can add more, each with any questions you like - choices, dates, terms to agree to and a signature.
Send a form
- Click + New Task > Form... and pick the form.
- Choose how the customer fills it in:
- Print - a paper copy.
- Send by Text - enter the customer's mobile number, ask them the question shown and tick that they agreed, then click Send. They fill it in on their phone.
- Send to Kiosk - it opens on the iPad at the counter.
- Picked the wrong form? Click Choose another form.

The customer sees your shop's name and the form's name at the top. The text message names the form too.
Follow it in Needs Immediate Attention
- A blue card, labeled with the form's name, shows it was sent - Cancel makes the link stop working.
- When the customer submits, click View answers. Click any answer to copy it, then paste it into your shop management system. A vehicle is split into year, make, model and so on.
- Print prints the filled-in form. Click Done - remove card when you're finished. A form nobody filled in expires after 72 hours.
The board never shows the customer's details - only that a form is waiting.
Your shop's forms (Administrator Managers)
Open Shop Settings > Forms. Every form is listed with how many questions it has, and whether it asks for a signature.
- + New form makes a form. Start from one of TEKTUNE's ready-made forms - New customer, Vehicle drop-off, Repair authorization, Pickup authorization or Customer feedback - or a Blank form. You can change everything afterwards.
- Edit opens that form, Print prints a blank copy, and the arrows change the order forms are listed in + New Task > Form....

Build a form
The form editor has the form's details at the top, its questions below, and on the right What the customer sees - a live preview that changes as you type.
- Under Form details, give the form a Form name (the customer sees it at the top and in the text message - two forms can't share a name). Add a Description to show under the name, and a Thank-you message for after they press Submit, if you like.
- Click Add a question and pick what kind:
- Text - short answer, long answer, number, date.
- Choices - multiple choice (pick one), checkboxes (pick any), dropdown, yes / no.
- Customer and vehicle - name, phone number, email, vehicle (year, make, model, plate, mileage).
- Sign-off - an agreement checkbox the customer must tick, and a signature they draw with a finger or mouse.
- Layout - a section heading to split the form into parts, and instructions (text to read, like your terms).
- Click any question to edit it: its wording, optional help text under it, its type, its choices (+ Add a choice), Required, and Full width or Half width (two short questions side by side).
- Use the arrows to move a question, the copy button to duplicate it, or the bin to delete it.
- Print preview shows the paper version. Click Save form.

Forms already sent keep the name and questions they were sent with. Delete form removes it from + New Task - forms already sent to customers are kept.
Signatures
A signature question gives the customer a box to sign in on their phone or the kiosk. The signature is saved with their answers: View answers shows it, and Print prints the filled-in form with the signature on it. A form can have up to 4 signatures.
Forms is a module: switch it on or off in Modules and Permissions.
