Modules

Every feature of TEKTUNE is a module. If your shop already uses another tool for something, turn that module off. Open Shop Settings > Modules (called Modules and Permissions before October 2026).

Turn a module on or off

• The switch on a module's card turns it on or off for the whole shop. Modules are grouped - Tasks, Rental fleet, Customers, Team and Shop - and the count at the top says how many are on. All, On and Off filter the list.
• To leave a module on but turn it off for one role (for example the leaderboard for Technicians), use that role's Modules in Roles. A card shows Off for and the roles that have it switched off; click it to go to Roles.
• Open pages refresh by themselves when you change a module. Turning a module off hides it - nothing is deleted, and turning it back on brings everything back.
• A module that's off for the whole shop is off for every role, whatever Roles says.

The modules

• Task Dashboard - the turnover inspection tickets for cars coming back from a rental.
• Daily Tasks - the recurring daily checklist.
• One-off Tasks - the Needs Immediate Attention task list.
• Vehicle Concern Tasks - vehicle concern and repair cards on the task board.
• Leaderboard - the weekly points leaderboard.
• Rental Car Tracking - the rental fleet board, sign-outs and check-ins.
• Electronic Signatures - send rental agreements for signing on the customer's phone or a kiosk: driver's license and insurance photos, signing, and a sealed signed copy sent to the customer by text or email. It needs Rental Car Tracking on, and only people whose role can rent cars use it. See Electronic signatures.
• Forms - your shop's own forms, for example a new customer form. Print one, text it, or put it on a kiosk; submitted forms show up in Needs Immediate Attention. Only people whose role can send forms use it. See Forms.
• Kiosks and Dashboards - counter iPads (kiosks) for customers to sign rental agreements and fill in forms, and TV screens (dashboards) showing the board. It's for the whole shop only (no role setting). Off: kiosks and dashboards say they're turned off and can't be sent anything. See Kiosks and dashboards.
• Messaging - direct messages, groups, announcements and assignments.
• Time Off - requesting and approving time off, the calendar and its board card.
• Time Clock - clocking in and out from the + New Task menu, checked against the shop's location. Dashboard screens never use it. See Time clock settings.
• Shop Hours (beta) - the labor hours your shop finished in Tekmetric. It needs the Tekmetric integration, and only people whose role can see shop hours use it. It's off until you switch it on, and it's hidden while Tekmetric is switched off (its switch is kept as it is). See Shop hours.
• Lockboxes - the lockbox code list for key drop-off.
• Special Tool Inventory - shop and employee-owned special tools: sign-out, requests, reservations and damage reports.
