Tekmetric
Connect Tekmetric so repair orders flow into TEKTUNE: RO tags in messages, Quality Control tasks, Waiting Customer cards and service history.
TEKTUNE works alongside Tekmetric. Once connected, Tekmetric tells TEKTUNE every time a repair order changes, and TEKTUNE uses it around the shop. Open Shop Settings > Integrations > Tekmetric.
Connect Tekmetric (webhook)
- On the Tekmetric page, open the Setup tab.
- Under Webhook, copy the address. If there isn't one yet, click Generate new token.
- In Tekmetric, go to Settings > Integrations > Webhooks and add that address.
- Back in TEKTUNE, the card at the top changes to Connected once Tekmetric sends its first update.

The Integration switch at the top turns everything Tekmetric-related on or off without losing your setup. Generate new token replaces the address - Tekmetric then needs the new one.
Vehicle info browser extension
Tekmetric's updates don't include the year, make and model. The TEKTUNE Chrome extension fills them in whenever a repair order is opened in Tekmetric on that computer. One time, per computer:
- Click Download extension - it comes set up for your shop, nothing to paste.
- Unzip it, open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode (top right), click Load unpacked and pick the unzipped folder.
After Generate new token under the extension, each computer needs a fresh download.
RO numbers in messages
Mention a repair order in Message Center - RO 30421, #30421 or just 30421 - and it becomes an orange tag. Hover or tap it for the customer, status and keytag; click it to open the repair order in Tekmetric.
Assign tags: Quality Control and Waiting Customer
On the Assign tags tab, pick which of your own Tekmetric tags TEKTUNE acts on - typed exactly as in Tekmetric (capital letters don't matter) - then click Save tags. The tags TEKTUNE has seen on your repair orders are listed below.

- Quality Control - when a repair order gets this tag (or Tekmetric's own Quality Control status), a "needs quality control drive" task appears in Needs Immediate Attention, linked to the repair order, and everyone who uses it is notified. If the repair order is taken back out of Quality Control, the task leaves the board: removed if nobody had checked it off yet, points kept if someone had. Setting it to Quality Control again later makes a new task.
- Waiting Customer - while a repair order has this tag and isn't posted, a Waiting Customer card shows on the Task Board with the customer's name (when Tekmetric has shared it), the vehicle and the RO.
Repair orders tab
Open repair orders, grouped by their tag. Posted ones move to History. This is mostly for checking that updates are arriving.
Service history for rental cars
When you mark a loaner as being serviced (New Service on the rental fleet), TEKTUNE opens a new repair order in Tekmetric in another window. Create it there, then type its RO number into TEKTUNE. The repair order's concerns and repairs then show in that car's service history as Tekmetric sends them.
Diagnostics
If something looks missing, the Diagnostics tab can Backfill from raw log (turn received updates into repair order cards), Re-check names from history (learn customer names Tekmetric mentioned), and show the Raw request log of everything received. All are safe to run again.
