Shop Settings > Time Off

Reasons

The reasons employees pick from when they request time off. Enter a name, choose whether it Counts against allowance - Accrued (paid time off), Unpaid or Excluded from allowance - and click Add Reason.

Paid holidays

Add a holiday's name and date. Holidays show on everyone's calendar and never count against anyone's allowance.

Work events

Shop-wide paid events - a training day, a closure. Add a title, date, optional times and notes. They show on the calendar in their own color.

Limits & Subscription

  • Tick Limit how many employees can be off at the same time and set the number. Employees are warned (not blocked) when their dates would go over it.
  • Calendar Subscription is a link Managers can add to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook to see time off, holidays and work events (never private notes). Copy Link to share it; Regenerate Link stops the old one working.

Each person's allowance

Set hours per year, hours per workday and work days per person in Employees > Manage.

Approval sheet

Turn on Require a signed sheet to approve time off to make approving a request a paper step: the approver prints a sheet filled in with the request, the employee signs it, and only then can it be approved. It's off unless you turn it on.

Time Off > Approval Sheet
Time Off > Approval Sheet
  1. Turn the switch on.
  2. Edit the sheet like a document. Drag in the blue blocks - Employee Name, Time Off Dates, Start Date, End Date, Full / Partial Day, Reason, Paid Hours, Notes, Requested On, Approver Name, Current Date, Shop Name and Shop Logo.
  3. Click Preview, then Save. Start over from the standard sheet brings back TEKTUNE's version.
