Shop Settings and searching it
Where every shop-wide setting lives, and how to find one fast with the search bar.
Open the gear menu and click Shop Settings. Only Administrator Managers see it.
Search
Type in Search Shop Settings at the top - for example "radius", "webhook" or "lockbox". It searches every page in Shop Settings: page names, setting names, field labels, switches and buttons, the Tekmetric tabs and the module names. Click a result (or press Enter for the first one) to jump straight to it - the setting flashes so you can spot it. Press Escape to clear the search.
What's in Shop Settings
- Modules and Permissions - features on or off per role, and point values.
- Tool Inventory - the shop-wide tool log and tool locations. See Special tool inventory.
- Employees - your team, their sign-in emails, PINs and devices.
- Kiosks and Dashboards - counter iPads and shop TVs.
- New Customer Form - the questions new customers answer.
- Shop Info - logo, name, address and timezone.
- Billing - your TEKTUNE plan, card and invoices.
- Rental Agreements - the agreement template.
- Rental Inspection - extra items to check on every turnover.
- Lockboxes - add or remove lockboxes.
- Messaging - search messaging activity. See Message Center.
- Integrations - Tekmetric and Bouncie.
- Time Off - reasons, holidays, work events, limits and the approval sheet.
- Time Clock - the clock-in area.
- TEKTUNE Updates - what's new in each version.
Some tiles only show when their module is on.
